The Passport to work has been developed as a result of discussion within the Cornwall Works Employer Forum, a group of employers who are passionate about making a difference in Cornwall.
This record can count towards a nationally recognised qualification if required.
The Passport is issued to every individual wishing to return to work who fits the Cornwall Works criteria and is undertaking work based activity. It gives employers the opportunity to comment on commitment to:
- regular attendance
- working to acceptable standards
- working well as part of a team
These factors have been identified by employers as critical for sustained employment.
The Passport also offers individuals returning to work the opportunity to show perspective employers evidence of their commitment to returning to work rather than gaps in their work history. A considerable amount of employers both large and small have signed employer agreements already, committing them to offering a range of activities to our clients and being 'Passport friendly' during recruitment.
